Custom Finish

Water based UV coating is today’s answer to achieving a quality “Furniture look finish” while doing so in an environmentally friendly way. The Ultra Violet Light Cured Finishing process is similar to any other except the chemistry of the finish is formulated so the finished product doesn't dry until it passes through an ultraviolet light. When the UV light hits the coating, it polymerizes, which means it becomes like plastic. Environmentally it's a big benefit over traditional solvent-borne finishes. As with all our stock finishes the process begins when a stain that is applied to your project. Different techniques and procedures are then used to create each desired finish. To complete each finish process, a UV topcoat is applied and oven-cured. The process includes hand-sanding between coats thus creating a beautiful, durable furniture look finish that all cabinet makers desire. Due to the nature of wood, there will always be a certain degree of color and grain variation between the color sample and the finished product. These variations are considered natural characteristics of wood and are standard throughout the industry.
